ARTICLE III-MEMBERSHIP Membership of this Association shall be limited to the following qualifications: (a) Any individual who devotes the majority of his/her time to the handling of claims. (b) Any individual who provides service to the insurance claims industry. ARTICLE XI-LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP Honorary Life members will be exempt from payment of dues. Their names will be maintained on the membership roster and they will retain all rights as such.Section 1. Nominees for honorary life membership will submit a written request for life membership to the Executive Committee. The written request shall include an outline of years of service to the claims community and details of his/her contribution to the Association. The Executive committee will review the nominee’s qualifications and determine the disposition of each nomination. Upon acceptance, the new Life member shall be notified and an announcement made at the next business meeting. Section 2. The Executive Committee will use the following guideline when considering a nominee for honorary life membership. (a) Retirement from claims service with 10 or more consecutive years as a member of the Association. (b) Participation in the Association’s committees so as to constitute exceptional service. Examples of service include but are not limited to serving as an officer, chairperson or regular committee member. Section 3. Each past President will be given an honorary life membership ARTICLE VII-DUES Annual membership fee or twenty-five($25.00) dollars shall be paid by each member. Dues are delinquent after February 28th of the membership year and will require a new application for reinstatement of membership |
